Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 4+ years Navy/Maritime experience with marine machinery, pumps, valves and piping.
• GTAW welding of 2-1/2” steel pipe and RN-82 in 6G position.
• SMAW welding of steel plates in vertical/horizontal positions.
• Grade III and Grade V brazing in various positions.
• Knowledge of Lockout Tag-out procedures.
• Ability to obtain/maintain a DoD security clearance.
• Ability to read schematics, drawings, and manuals.
• Strong communication across govt and active-duty personnel.
• Valid driver’s license and forklift license.

Responsibilities

• Operate and repair graving dock machinery and piping systems.
• Read blueprints, fittings, and welding requirements to assemble piping.
• Perform mechanical and welding duties for shipyard projects.
• Maintain safety procedures and PPE compliance.
• Document maintenance, repairs, and parts usage.
