State of Maine in Rockland, ME is seeking a relief Marine Engineer to operate, maintain and repair diesel and gas engines on vessels, with responsibilities across Rockland, Lincolnville, or Bass Harbor routes. You will monitor propulsion machinery and electrical systems, ensuring safe and efficient operation.

This 80-hour biweekly relief position requires a USCG Marine Engineer license or equivalent and a valid TWIC; new hires start at $36.79/hour (including a stipend), with wage progression

Qualificações

• Experience in operation, maintenance, and repair of marine engines and auxiliary equipment.

Responsabilidades

• Operate, monitor, and maintain diesel and gas engines and auxiliary equipment on vessels.
• Inspect, adjust, and maintain machinery to meet safety standards.
• Perform security duties under MTSA 2002 and assist the public as needed.
