Mackay has an opening for an experienced Marine Electronics Technician (MET), or Electronics Technician (ET) with the skills and qualifications described below for our Tacoma, WA location. Under limited supervision, the Marine Electronics Technician (MET) will install, service, and repair electronic equipment on-board commercial ships. The technician will test, adjust, and troubleshoot components and antennas as well as load, update, and modify software. The MET will utilize their knowledge of electronic theory and circuitry to address a variety of technical problems, making use of complex schematics, blueprints, and manuals to accurately complete assignments. Upon finishing each service task, the technician will prepare a detailed service report.
