Job summary

A leading marine engineering firm is seeking an experienced Electronics Technician for a short-term contract aboard the USNS Matthew Perry in Portland, Oregon. The role involves troubleshooting, maintenance, and repairs of electronic systems while coordinating with crew and shipyard personnel. Local candidates are preferred, but non-locals can apply; lodging and transport will be provided. This is an immediate need, with a start date of January 21, 2024.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an Electronics Technician, preferably marine or shipboard.
• Ability to work aboard a U.S. Naval ship in a shipyard environment.
• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform electronics troubleshooting, maintenance, and repairs aboard vessel.
