Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking personnel to perform duties at sea within harsh weather environments, supporting the NOAA/NDBC networks and related missions. This role includes field assignments for installation, troubleshooting, repair and de-installation, with substantial travel on U.S.

Coast Guard, NOAA, university or private vessels. Two years of experience in maintenance and repair of marine electrical and electronics systems is required, plus experience loading and offloading equipment and preparing

Qualifications

  • Two years of experience in maintenance, repair, test and modification of marine electrical and electronics systems.
  • Experience with loading and offloading of equipment and preparation of shipment load lists.

Responsibilities

  • Candidate must be capable of performing duties at sea within harsh weather environments.
  • Requires electronic, electrical and limited mechanical assembly work at the industrial facilities and remote station locations of the NDBC network in support of all operational missions and programs (Weather Buoy, DART, TAO, and C-MAN) as well as considerable travel, including at sea onboard U.S. Coast Guard, NOAA, University, or private vessels.
  • Perform field assignments as a member or team leader for installation, troubleshooting, repair and de-installation.
  • Experience with the loading and offloading of equipment.
  • Knowledge of computer skills Microsoft office suite for completion of test and field related documentation.
  • Any other duties as assigned.
