Birdon America Inc. in Bayou La Batre, AL is seeking a skilled Marine Electrician to join our shipyard team. This full-time direct role supports USCG boat safety and reliability with hands-on electrical work on power distribution, motors, and controls.

You will diagnose, troubleshoot, wire, and install systems up to 1000 volts, work full time M–T 5:00 AM–3:30 PM, and collaborate with a skilled crew in a shipyard environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 5 years as a marine electrician.
• Fundamental knowledge in marine electrical systems.

Responsibilities

• Distinguish colors on Multi-Conductor Cable and understand color codes.
• Connect Single Phase and Three Phase Motors, Transformers, and generators.
• Operate AC/DC power distribution up to 1000 volts and troubleshoot wiring.
• Check amp draw, troubleshoot MSLC/DSLC circuits, and understand PLC circuits.
• Terminate and work with motor controllers and related electrical equipment.
