Propulsion Controls Engineering (PCE) has a current opening for a Marine Electrician Journeyman I - V, supporting our San Diego, CA location. PCE is a full-service electro-mechanical and diesel repair contractor with extensive experience in executing major system overhauls across numerous ports worldwide on virtually every class of ship currently in operation.

Marine Electrician Journeyman Job Summary:

Install, repair, and connect equipment for all electrical services on ships without supervision. Lay out, pull, lift, and install cables and conduits independently. Prepare work areas, drill holes, grind metal surfaces, and mount equipment with minimal supervision. Test electrical equipment in accordance with NAVSEA Standard Items without supervision. Perform other related tasks as assigned, some of which may be essential to the position.

Job Requirements and Experience:
  • Must be 18 years or older to apply.
  • Associates Degree or Technical Certification.
  • Minimum 6 years of marine and/or shipyard experience.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Defense Security Clearance.
