Job summary

The Hinckley Company is seeking a Marine Electrician to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain electrical, electronic, and communications systems aboard high-performance yachts. The role requires experience with marine electrical systems, wiring, schematics, and diagnostic tools.

A hands-on, quality-focused fabricator with pride in craftsmanship is valued. Responsibilities include wiring installation, testing, blueprint interpretation, and ensuring safety and quality.

Qualifications

• 1 year basic electrical experience plus 2 years marine electronics installation.
• Ability to read electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and blueprints.
• ABYC certification preferred; valid driver’s license.
• Strong troubleshooting and communication skills.
• Physically able to lift up to 50 pounds and work in confined spaces.

Responsibilities

• Install wiring, panels, and equipment for marine electrical systems.
• Wire and test radar, GPS, antennas, motors, pumps, switches, and equipment.
• Read blueprints and schematics; interpret technical documentation.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical and electronic system problems.
• Prepare material lists and plan projects.
• Provide professional customer service and maintain safety standards.
