Responsibilities

• Inspects and services electrical equipment during overhaul to ensure safe operations and prevent future breakdowns.
• Tracks, schedules, and performs preventive maintenance on any electrical vessel system.
• Researches and orders parts for repairs while maintaining proper inventory to support emergency repairs.
• Completes service calls on vessels to make required repairs as needed.
• Works with maintenance crew, vendor, and vessel crew when needed to complete repairs such as electrical, plumbing, or mechanical repairs.
• Advise leadership and boat crew of technical information and electrical guidelines to ensure safe and effective operations.
• Documents all work performed in the maintenance database.
• Performs all other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED
• Valid Driver's License
• Reliable transportation to and from work
• 5+ years marine electrical maintenance experience and repair of associated equipment
• Ability to acquire TWIC
• Ability to be on-call weekends and nights during assigned weeks
• Ability to occasionally travel overnight
• Ability to pass a pre-employment physical and drug screen

Preferred

• Prior towboat troubleshooting and repair experience
• Electrician Certification/License
• Experience working aboard boats
