Overview

Tradesmen International is looking to expand our team of qualified Marine Trade Professionals for current & future projects in and around Newport News, VA. Most positions are first shift with a pay range of $27.31/hour based on experience, plus Per Diem for qualified Travelers 60+ miles from the job site. If you are a Marine Electrician and want to work alongside other proven Craftsmen who emphasize safety, productivity, and superior workmanship, this is your chance to advance your career!

Job Scope:

  • Troubleshoot electrical equipment and circuits using appropriate test equipment to detect and effect required maintenance, repairs, or replacements.
  • Perform maintenance and repairs of generators, switchboards, controllers, circuit breakers, electrical motors, distribution panels, alarm and lighting circuits.
  • Conduct insulation resistance measurements of electrical cables to determine condition and effect repairs or replacements.
  • Supervise and participate in the installation and/or alteration of electrical systems aboard ships.
  • Maintain adequate inventories of electrical spare parts and requisition replacements.
  • Maintain electrical system maintenance histories, noting date and extent of repairs and/or alterations.
