Job Description

We are seeking a talented Marine Electrical Engineer to join our marine engineering team.

Responsibilities
  • Design and develop electrical power systems for marine vessels, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Conduct short circuit and protective device coordination studies.
  • Perform lighting system calculations.
  • Create and review technical drawings, load analyses, power system diagrams, specifications, and documentation for regulatory review and cost estimating.
  • Lead engineering teams, assign tasks, oversee technical work, manage scope and budgets, and develop proposals.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams for seamless integration of mechanical designs.
  • Stay updated on electrical engineering developments and incorporate new knowledge into projects.
  • Provide technical support and mentorship to junior engineers.
Qualifications
  • At least four (4) years of experience in electrical engineering and design in a maritime environment; consulting experience preferred. Equivalent experience in industrial or MW-scale microgrid design may be considered.
  • Bachelor's degree in marine or electrical engineering.
  • PE licensure in a relevant discipline; candidates eligible to take the exam within one year will be considered.
  • Proficiency with CAD software (AutoCAD, Rhino3D, SolidWorks) and Microsoft Office.
  • Experience with power systems analysis software (SKM preferred, others acceptable).
  • Strong communication, technical writing, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
  • Authorized to work in the U.S.; eligible for TN visas if applicable.
  • Willingness to travel and perform fieldwork; valid driver’s license, passport, and TWIC card may be required.
