Job summary

Kokosing Industrial, Inc. is seeking a Dredge Offloader Operator for marine projects in Baltimore and the Richmond, VA area. Must be willing to travel and to work 7-day/12-hour shifts with extended schedules.

Operate power-driven excavator with movable shovel to excavate or move dirt, rock, sand, and other materials, observing safety rules and procedures and coordinating with field crews on bridges and utilities. Perform routine maintenance and inspections of equipment.

Qualifications

• Minimum four to ten years related experience and/or training.
• Safety certifications and licensing as required by local jurisdiction.

Responsibilities

• Receives written or oral instructions from supervisor regarding material to move or excavate.
• Pushes levers and depresses pedals to operate the dredge/offloader equipment and move material.
• Operates equipment safely and in a controlled manner within trench or marine work zones.
• Works on bridge and utility projects and coordinates with other crews.
• Inspects, cleans, maintains, and lubricates equipment; follows safety procedures.
