Job summary

Broussard Brothers, Inc. is seeking experienced Marine Diesel Mechanics to join our Abbeville, LA team. This on-site role involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining heavy‑duty marine diesel engines at marinas and shipyards along waterways.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of diesel experience, relevant trade certification, and strong diagnostic skills, with willingness to travel and handle flexible hours, including emergencies. TWIC and Class D licenses are a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a diesel mechanic (marine industry preferred).
• Trade certification in heavy-duty diesel mechanics (preferred but not mandatory).
• Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing diesel engines, transmissions, and propulsion systems.
• Familiarity with diagnostic tools and software.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., work in confined spaces, and tolerate various weather conditions.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Willingness to travel extensively and work flexible hours, including weekends and emergencies.
• TWIC and Class D License.
