Job summary

Summerset Marine Construction seeks a dependable Laborer to install and remove piers, boat lifts, and accessories, while assisting in dock construction and site maintenance. The role involves labor-intensive tasks with emphasis on safety and weather resilience.

Requirements include a valid driver’s license, ability to swim, and familiarity with basic tools and machinery. CDL-A and boating safety knowledge are a plus; travel to sites is expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Clean MVR; CDL A preferred.
• Previous marine or construction experience advantageous.
• Ability to swim and work near water.
• Familiarity with hand tools, basic carpentry, and machinery.
• Boater safety knowledge; CPR/First aid is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist in construction, maintenance, and dismantling of docks, piers, and marine structures.
• Load, unload, and distribute materials and equipment for daily operations.
• Operate hand and power tools; maintain and store tools properly.
• Perform routine boat checks and assist in operating barges.
• Follow safety procedures and wear required PPE.
• Assist in setting up and removing scaffolding and temporary structures.
• Site cleanup and debris removal from barges and waterways.
• Collaborate with team to complete projects efficiently.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
