Job summary

All American Marine in Bellingham, WA is seeking a Marine Paint Coatings/Technician to apply protective coatings on vessels and ensure finish and durability. You will prepare surfaces, sandblast, and spray coatings, while maintaining a clean, organized workspace and adhering to safety and environmental standards.

The role supports other trades and requires comfort with confined spaces and respirator use. Shifts are typically Monday–Thursday, 6:00 AM–4:30 PM, with some weekend or swing-shift

Qualifications

• Experience with coatings application and spray equipment; marine experience is a plus.
• Comfortable with confined spaces, heights, and respiratory PPE; able to pass respirator eval/fit test.
• Familiar with sandblasting media and coating materials; able to read technical data sheets.
• Detail-oriented, self-starting, team-focused; basic math for multi-part mix ratios.

Responsibilities

• Review daily priorities with the paint team and set up the workspace.
• Prep surfaces, sandblast, and apply coatings using approved tools and procedures.
• Maintain and troubleshoot spray/blast equipment and keep the area clean and orderly.
• Follow environmental guidelines during blasting and application; support other trades when needed.
