Marine Cargo Surveyor (Remote w/travel)
This role is open to remote work out of Chicago, IL, Seattle, WA, Charleston, SC, Los Angeles or San Francisco, CA, Detroit, MI, and various locations in Florida and Ohio. Travel required.
PRIMARY PURPOSE: To inspect cargo damaged in transit, determine the nature, cause, and extent of damages; review documents to establish when the cargo was damaged; and provide written reports to underwriters and other parties with a qualified opinion on the cause of loss.

Qualifications:
Education & Licensing: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university preferred.
Experience: Five (5) years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience required.
Skills & Knowledge:
Work Environment: Reasonable accommodations will be considered where applicable.
Mental: Clear and conceptual thinking, excellent judgment, troubleshooting, problem-solving, analysis, discretion, stress management, multitasking, and deadline meeting abilities.
Physical:
Auditory/Visual: Hearing, vision, and talking capabilities.
Note: Credit security clearance via background check required.
Salary range: $80,000.00 – $110,000.00 USD annually, influenced by skills, experience, and location. Role is commission eligible. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, 401k, PTO, disability, life insurance, employee assistance, and voluntary benefits.
