Job summary

Accelera in Mobile, AL is seeking skilled Marine Designers for an onsite contract to contribute to the creation and assembly of sophisticated watercraft. Levels I–IV will be filled based on technical proficiency and design background.

You will generate 2D and 3D production models and schematics while collaborating with engineering, manufacturing, and clients to ensure project success and on-time delivery.

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or GED; prefer an associate degree or higher in engineering technology, drafting, or related field.
• 1+ year hands-on 3D modeling experience; design experience in marine, shipyard, or industrial construction is a plus.
• Proven ability to produce 2D/3D CAD models and technical drawings with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Produce and update comprehensive 2D and 3D CAD models and drawings.
• Generate construction-ready documentation to streamline vessel building.
• Verify accuracy of models and drawings produced by junior staff.
• Analyze structural plans and electrical schematics to guide design work.
• Collaborate with production, engineering, and clients to ensure project success.
• Identify and resolve model interferences to prevent delays.
• Provide guidance and training to junior designers.
