Job summary

Textron Systems is seeking a technically skilled assembler with 1-3 years of experience to support cable assembly tasks in our Marine & Land Systems area. Responsibilities include pulling and grooming cableways, packing MCTs, and following engineering drawings with accuracy.

Ideal candidates will read blueprints, work with basic hand tools, and participate in a team focused on meeting daily production goals. Flexibility for shifts and overtime is required. High school diploma or GED is required.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of technical experience.
• Must be able to follow written/verbal instructions.
• Must be able to perform basic shop mathematics.
• Ability to work shifts or overtime as required, must be flexible.
• General understanding of metric measuring system.
• Ability to read blueprints, shop orders, sketches, and drawings is a plus.
• Experience on naval craft/vessels is a plus.
• Note: Level will be determined based on relevant experience, scope of role, skills, etc.

Responsibilities

• Pulling cable and grooming cableways.
• Packing Multi Cable Transits (MCT) and banding cables.
• Must be able to learn engineering drawings, sketches, blueprints, schematics and follow written/verbal instructions.
• Perform as a productive team member that meets daily goals set by the supervisor and lead.
• Maintain records, forms, and logs as required.
• Perform job duties with the use of basic hand tools such as screw drivers, pliers, wire cutters, drill motors, sand and grinding tools, etc.
• May instruct and mentor less-experienced team members, as assigned.
• Maintain safe work practices and adheres to safety policies and procedures.
• Ensure correct construction procedures are adhered to.
• Performs other related duties as assigned by supervisor.
