Job summary

Trident Maritime Systems is looking for a skilled Commissioning Engineer to commission machinery software and support aftermarket upgrades. The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and over 5 years of relevant experience.

The role involves planning and conducting electrical surveys and integrating control systems for fluid machinery. Strong troubleshooting skills and knowledge of PLC programming are required.

Qualifications

Ability to troubleshoot electrical control systems and equipment used in automation systems.
Knowledge and capability of debugging, troubleshooting and implementing changes to PLC hardware/software.
Knowledge base in the use of industrial automation devices.

Responsibilities

Plan and document ship electrical/automation surveys.
Commission electrical, automation, and IT systems related to fluid machinery.
Program PLCs according to customer specifications.
Develop testing procedures for automation systems.

Skills

Troubleshooting electrical control systems

Debugging PLC hardware/software

Knowledge of industrial automation devices

Excellent communication skills

Microsoft Office Suite proficiency

Ability to interpret customer specifications

Experience with AutoCAD or similar CAD

Familiarity with regulatory bodies

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Computer, Electrical or Electronic Control Engineering

5+ years of relevant commissioning or engineering experience
