Job description

We are looking for a dedicated and hardworking Marina Yard Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, physical fitness, and a passion for the marine environment. Responsibilities include handling boats, maintaining the yard, and assisting with repairs and maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Assist with launching and hauling boats using specialized equipment.
2. Secure vessels in storage areas and on docks.
3. Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of the marina yard, docks, and facilities.
4. Assist with boat preparation for storage and winterization.
5. Conduct general repairs and maintenance on marina equipment and facilities.
6. Monitor and manage dock lines, fenders, and other mooring equipment.
7. Assist with fueling operations and ensure safety protocols are followed.
8. Provide excellent customer service to marina clients.
9. Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
10. Perform other duties as assigned by marina management.

Qualifications:

1. High school diploma or equivalent.
2. Previous experience in a marina or similar environment preferred.
3. Basic knowledge of boat handling and marina operations.
4. Ability to operate marina equipment, such as forklifts, travel lifts, and power tools.
5. CDL (Commercial Driver’s License) and forklift certification are a bonus.
6. Strong physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects.
7. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
8. Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
9. Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
10. Positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills.
