Nature of Work: Summary:
This work involves assisting in the operation of the marina, selling gasoline, food, and soft drinks and performing other duties related to boating.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Competencies and skills:
Essential:
* Ability to learn the operation of a boat dock and marina
* Ability to operate fuel pumps and a cash register and make correct change
* Ability to communicate effectively with workmates and the public
* Ability to understand written and oral instructions
* Ability to stand and move about the facility 75 to 100% of the workday
Essential Functions: (Any one position may not perform all of the duties listed, nor do the listed examples include all of the duties that may be performed in positions allocated to this classification.)
Detailed responsibilities:
* Ties up boats at the boat dock, dispenses gasoline, and collects payment
* Sells snack food and drinks to boaters and other frequenters of the marina
* Balances daily cash and charge receipts at the cash register and the fuel pumps
* Maintains the marinas equipment and grounds
* Provides customer assistance and responds to inquiries and complaints
* Performs other duties as assigned or as the situation dictates within the scope of this classification
Special Qualifications: Other information:
Must be a minimum of 18 years old. You must be able to work varied shifts, including nights and weekends. Marine workers are required to work in all types of weather.
Pay Range: Depends on Experience
