Job summary

City of Clearwater is hiring a Marine Facility Operator for the Marine & Aviation Department at the Clearwater Beach Municipal Marina. Under supervision, you will manage sales, service, maintenance, and operation of municipal fuel docks, piers, and the bait house facilities.

Responsibilities include dispensing fuels, handling cash transactions, maintaining inventories, and enforcing safety rules. A valid state driver’s license and a high school diploma or GED are required.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience in a marina or related setting.
• Cash handling and basic financial transactions.
• Ability to follow safety standards and procedures.
• Knowledge of marine operations and mooring practices.

Responsibilities

• Dispenses fuels and lubricants to watercraft and maintains store inventory.
• Monitors safety and enforces marina rules and passes.
• Receives cash, processes payments, and maintains daily revenue records.
• Cleans, stocks, and maintains merchandise at the store and docks.
• Performs minor maintenance, records, and safety announcements as needed.
• Reads meters, assists with boat pumpouts, and responds to spills or fires.
