Boston Harbor Shipyard and Marina is seeking candidates for the Dock Attendant / Dock Hand position this summer. Our marina hosts a diverse range of tenants, both onshore and in the water, and we value team members who contribute to a friendly, professional atmosphere. As the first and last point of contact for guests during the boating season, dock hands play a vital role in creating a welcoming environment.

The ideal candidate is cheerful, determined, knowledgeable, and courteous. Responsibilities include assisting customers from docking to departure, providing excellent customer service, and maintaining safety standards both on and off-site. The primary goal is ensuring guests have a memorable experience while upholding safety and professionalism.

Responsibilities

• Deliver first-class service to all customers.
• Perform daily opening and closing duties, dock walks, and grounds maintenance.
• Learn and memorize marina rates and policies.
• Maintain a safe, clean, friendly, and enjoyable environment.
• Clean and restock restrooms, docks, walkways, and equipment.
• Assist with special events outside normal hours.
• Ensure safety for yourself and guests.
• Help guests with boating needs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to operate VHF radio and small handheld/power tools.
• Swim proficiency.
• Customer service experience is a plus, along with knowledge of Boston Harbor and surrounding areas.

Weekend and holiday availability is required. Flexibility to work part or full-time is preferred.
