Job description

The Marina Crew Member is responsible for assisting with daily marina tasks to ensure smooth operations and to meet or exceed guests' expectations for a welcoming, clean, and safe environment.

Essential Functions/Responsibilities:

• Assist Marina Crew Leader and team with duties such as securing boats to docks, connecting and monitoring utility services (power, water), black water pump out, waste disposal, and sanitation.
• Provide high-quality customer service by expediting requests from vessels, including transporting patrons and baggage to and from the dock and delivering provisions and packages.
• Perform light maintenance duties at the marina as needed.
• Operate motor and water vehicles and other mechanized equipment routinely.
• Ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, and sanitation policies.
• Perform other duties as assigned or required.

Required Education and Experience:

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team to achieve goals.
• Reliable with good time management, organization, and prioritization skills.
• Strong communication skills for effective collaboration.
• Enjoy working with the public to provide exceptional customer service.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Must be able to swim.
• CPR and First Aid certification.
• Good judgment in evaluation and decision-making.
• General seamanship knowledge, boating right-of-ways, basic navigation, and mooring techniques.
• Ability to work indoors and outdoors, often in wet, slippery, and varying weather conditions.

Physical Demands: Must be able to lift and move up to 50 lbs, and perform tasks such as walking, reaching, bending, and working outdoors for extended periods in various weather conditions. Must have normal vision and hearing, and be comfortable using dock equipment and materials.
