Job summary

Bridge Marina, Inc. in New Jersey is seeking a full-time year-round Boat Yard Assistant at our Lake Hopatcong location.

You will join a team overseeing care of boats in our service department, boat rentals, and boat club fleet, ensuring final cleaning, covering, launching, mooring, and fleet maintenance. You will participate in commissioning and decommissioning, support the service department, and help move vessels and trailers.

Qualifications

1 year experience cleaning boats or similar equipment.
Valid clean automobile driver’s license.
NJ Boating certificate and boating experience preferred, not required.
Good health and great physical mobility.
Ability to pass a pre-employment background/drug screen.
Work indoors and out in various weather conditions.
Work schedule Tuesday-Saturday 9a-5p year-round.

Responsibilities

Oversee basic maintenance for guest boats and marina fleet, including cleaning and refurbishing.
Assist with boat care, launch, trailering, and operating marina equipment under supervision.
Assist with decommission and recommission of service boats and fleet.
Organize boats and gear, maintain cleanliness.
Follow safety policies and procedures.
Report inventory shortages.
Complete work records and communicate with technicians and managers.
Ensure tools and work areas are maintained and in good repair.
