Job summary
Four Seasons Hotel Minneapolis seeks a Restaurant Server to join our team. You will create memorable dining experiences by taking guest orders, describing the menu, coordinating with kitchen and bar, and delivering exceptional service.
You bring 2–3 years of F&B experience, thrive in a fast-paced, large team, and can stand for up to 8 hours. Flexibility for weekdays, weekends and holidays is essential; TIPS and ServSafe certifications are valued. We offer competitive pay and great benefits.
Qualifications
- Experience of 2–3 years in Food & Beverage and prior server experience.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, large team environment.
- Stand for up to 8 hours and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Knowledge of Minneapolis area preferred but not required.
- Experience in luxury hotel or resort is preferred.
- Flexibility to work weekdays, weekends and holidays.
- Ability to carry and balance a tray.
- Accurate cash and credit card transactions.
- Multi-task in a high-volume, demanding environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills with guests.
- English reading, writing, and speaking proficiency.
- TIPS and ServSafe certification.
Responsibilities
- Take guest orders and describe food and beverage items with vivid details.
- Relay orders to kitchen and bar, coordinating timings.
- Deliver items to table or lounge promptly to ensure quality.
- Anticipate guest needs, address concerns, and offer suggestions.
- Read each table and tailor experiences for locals and travelers.
- Close checks, process payments, and settle any discrepancies.
- Set up and breakdown tables and chairs as needed.
- Work harmoniously with teammates and supervisors.
- Assist in other Food & Beverage duties during busy periods.

Basic Purpose:The Restaurant Server is an essential member of the team. Servers willbe responsible forcreating a memorable dining experience for guests and residents, providing exceptionaland anticipatoryservice whileshowcasinga knowledgeable understanding of the menu andpreparation methods.
- Take guest orders and describe the selection of food & beverage menu items to guests by offering interesting and vivid descriptions of each item’s, origin,taste, and preparation methods
- Communicate guest orders including any special needs or requests to the kitchen and bar using the hotel’s point-of-sales system; coordinate foodand beveragetimings
- Check completed kitchen orders with the guest’s original order andtransport items to the guest tableor lounge chairin a timely mannerto ensure proper food quality
- Anticipate guest needs,ascertainsatisfaction, and offer suggestions, and respond urgently and appropriately to guest concerns and requests
- Read each table and adapt to the guest, creating a customized experiencefor a variety of local guests, international travelers, and building residents alike
- Properly and accurately close guest checks; process cash and credit card payments; properly settle voided checks or complimentary meals
- Breakdown, clean and set-up of tables and chairs
- Work harmoniously and professionally with co-workers and supervisors
- Assistswith responsibilities and duties in the absence of or due to heavy volume in areas of Food & Beverage when needed
- Experience working a minimum of 2-3 years in Food & Beverage andpreviousexperience as a server
- Thrive working in a fast paced, and large team environment
- Ability to be standing for up to 8 hours a day and ability tolift upto 50lbs
- Knowledge of Minneapolis and surrounding areas, highly desirable, however notrequired
- Preferred experience in a luxury hotel or resort
- Must be flexible with schedule - Able to work weekdays, weekends, and holidays shifts
- Ability to carry and balance a tray
- Ability to accurately process cash and credit card transactions
- Ability to multi-task in a high volume and demanding environment
- Strong problem-solving skills, ability to handledifficult situationsand guests
- Reading,writingand oralproficiencyin the English language
