Job summary

Kuvare is seeking an Internal Auditor to join our Audit team in Kentucky, focusing on MAR compliance and ICFR testing. You will work with finance, IT, and compliance to assess controls, document findings, and support remediation efforts for ongoing regulatory requirements.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years in internal or SOX/mAR roles, a relevant degree, and proficiency with MS Office and Workiva. Insurance industry experience is highly valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelors in Accounting/Finance/Business Admin or related field.
• Experience testing ICFR and evaluating control design.
• Knowledge of MAR, SOX, COSO and risk concepts preferred.
• Insurance industry experience strongly preferred.
• Proficiency with MS Office; Workiva or similar platforms a plus.

Responsibilities

• Execute MAR testing program including walkthroughs and testing of key controls.
• Assess design and operating effectiveness of controls and document results.
• Coordinate with control owners for evidence and timelines.
• Identify, evaluate, and document control deficiencies and root causes.
• Monitor remediation actions and validate closure of issues.
• Maintain risk/control matrices, narratives, and flowcharts.
• Assist with annual risk assessments and MAR scoping.
• Collaborate with Finance, IT, Compliance on control environments.
• Stay current on regulatory updates and industry practices.
• Support internal audit initiatives and special projects.
