Job summary

Fermilab is seeking an Under Research Assistant/MaPSA Testing Shifter who will work under direct supervision providing technical assistance on project-based tasks and research. The Undergraduate Research Assistant position is for students enrolled in STEM or computing programs; it can be fixed term (6 months, 20-40 hours/week) or on-call (<6 months, and/or not 20 hours/week).

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in an accredited university or college as an undergraduate student.
• Must have some research or technical experience.

Responsibilities

• Works alongside staff specializing in scientific, technology, engineering, math, or computing and accelerator science to provide technical assistance on project-based tasks and/or research.
• Investigates, defines, and proposes solutions to assigned technical and scientific problems.
• Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.
• Abides by and is responsible for performing all duties in accordance with all environmental, health and safety regulations and practices pertinent to this position.
