Job summary

Ariel Partners seeks an experienced IT professional to support the NYCWAY Workfare/Engagement system. The role involves system design, programming, and maintenance across mainframe and PC environments, with a focus on MAPPER/BIS, GUI UI/UX, and .NET/Javascript.

You will work with managers, senior programmers, and product staff to implement features, develop technical docs, and ensure reliability through testing and production support. Strong requirements analysis is essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 years of experience with MAPPER/BIS programming and databases.
• Experience with MAPPER/BIS CoolICE and GUI UI/UX.
• Proficiency in .NET/Javascript and mainframe environments.
• Ability to design 3-tier applications and create/maintain mainframe databases.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to produce management reports.
• Experience with UNISYS mainframe and PC environments.
• Strong requirement analysis and system design capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Perform System Design/Programming for NYCWAY modules.
• Collaborate with staff to plan implementation and enhancements.
• Analyze new systems and implement complex solutions across development cycles.
• Design reports, audit trails, and security mechanisms.
• Coordinate on architecture to ensure capacity, performance and availability.
• Develop/maintain databases and data structures for performance.
• Provide production support and resolve IT issues.
• Produce management reports and conduct testing/evaluation.
