Job summary

Magna International in Piedmont, South Carolina, is looking for a dedicated team member to ensure safety inspections, conduct Pre-Shift meetings, and coordinate daily responsibilities. Candidates must have a High School Diploma or GED and be able to secure a forklift license shortly after hiring. Job Responsibilities

• Ensure daily Pre‑Shift inspections and frequency checks are completed accurately and conduct planned inspection audits on each shift.
• Follow, comply and enforce all operational procedures/policies as stated in the employee Environmental Health and Safety programs (Magna and OSHA Standards).
• Conduct Pre‑Shift meetings with the team to communicate safety and/or quality issues and production targets.
• Fill in for Team Members that need to temporarily leave the line (emergency, bathroom break, etc.).
• Complete all necessary documentation including hourly data collection with downtime reasons and daily performance graphing.
• Coordinate and assign job responsibility for team members on a daily basis.
• Maintain open communication and provide continued support to other departments regarding any changes, problems, or special projects; encourage open communications, confront difficult situations, maintain objectivity, and use negotiation skills to resolve conflicts.
• Provide feedback and recommendations to the supervisor regarding team member performance and training needs.

Position Requirements

• Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
• Work Experience / Technical Training:
  • Valid driver’s license; current forklift license to be obtained within 1 week of hire; documented proof of training every three years for maintenance of forklift/truck license must be maintained.
  • Prior SAP experience preferred.
