Job summary

Daybreak Foods in Wisconsin is seeking a Manure Technician to organize and operate the day-to-day manure management program under supervision. This role focuses on operating manure handling systems, maintenance, and safety compliance.

You will work with the Maintenance team, document activities, and perform routine checks, with additional duties as assigned. The ideal candidate has high school education and maintenance experience; agricultural familiarity is preferred, and teamwork and safety

Qualifications

• Strong troubleshooting and maintenance skills are required.
• Experience with maintenance techniques and safety procedures is essential.
• Capable of operating and maintaining manure-handling equipment safely.

Responsibilities

• Run manure out of animal welfare houses (barns).
• Operate manure drying system and associated equipment.
• Complete daily operating schedules for belts, air blowers and storage.
• Perform daily, preventive and predictive maintenance on manure systems.
• Document activities with proper forms and paperwork.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operation.
• Assist with special projects and inventory as needed.
• Maintain clean work area and assist with other duties as assigned.
