Job summary

Rosco, Inc. is seeking detail oriented Manufacturing Workers for roles in Assembly, Injection Molding, Fabrication, Powder Coating, Material Handling and Warehouse at our New York facility. Positions are non-exempt and union membership is required after 30 days of employment.

You will work under the supervision of the department manager and contribute to safe, efficient production. Candidates must have a high school diploma or GED, good English communication, and basic computer skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; additional education is a plus.
• Ability to communicate in English with other personnel.
• Ability to read and understand general documents and work packages.
• Understanding of basic technologies and basic computer skills; ERP familiarity is a plus.
• Forklift or pallet jack certification is a plus for applicable roles.
• Welding certification is a plus for fabrication positions.

Responsibilities

• Read, understand, and use process instructions for work projects.
• Assemble components and parts using hand, electric, and air tools.
• Work independently or as part of a team.
• Enter and retrieve information from computers.
• Follow all safety protocols and compliance regulations.
• Use tools and processes to manufacture products meeting specifications.
• Communicate with supervisors regarding processes and status.
• Lift an average of 20 pounds and move approximately 20 feet.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Position Summary

We are seeking detail oriented and flexible individuals to join our team as a Manufacturing Worker. We have positions in Assembly, Injection Molding, Fabrication, Powder Coating, Material Handling and Warehouse. The individual will report to the manager of the department.

These positions are non-exempt, union positions and membership to union is required after 30 days of employment.

Primary Responsibilities

• Read, understand, and use process instructions for work projects.
• Assemble components and parts using different tools and methods, including hand, electric, and air tools.
• Work independently or as part of a team.
• Enter and retrieve information from computers.
• Follow all safety protocols and compliance regulations to maintain a safe work environment.
• Use the appropriate tools or machines and processes to manufacture products that meet required specifications.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors regarding questions specific to processes and manufacturing status.
• Lift an average of 20 pounds of weight and move approximately 20 feet.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Education Requirements and Skills

• High school diploma or General Education Development Diploma (GED), additional education is a plus.
• Ability to communicate in English with other personnel.
• Ability to read and understand general documents such as work instructions, manuals, and job packages.
• Understanding of basic technologies and basic computer skills. Knowledge of ERP systems is a plus. (Enterprise Resource Planning)
• Ability to work effectively and efficiently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with the physical stamina and ability to lift and move objects as needed (20 pounds average).
• For Material Handling and Shipping/Receiving positions a Forklift certification or Pallet jack certification is a plus.
• For Fabrication Workers a Welding Certification is a plus.

Physical Requirements

• Prolonged periods of standing or walking
• Must be able to lift at least 20 pounds
• Must be able to access and navigate all areas of the facility
• Must be able to stand, crawl, bend, stretch, lay and squat in order to maintain equipment
• Must be able to occasionally withstand high temperatures
