Job summary

TNA Toyota Motor Engineering & Manufacturing North America, Inc. seeks an Engineer to lead end-to-end engineering and deployment of automated quality inspection systems in North American facilities.

You will support the Production Engineering Division and SOAR Group to boost manufacturing competitiveness. The role requires 2+ years in industrial machine vision and 3+ years in AI/ML with camera-based vision, plus Docker/Kubernetes experience.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in industrial machine vision and edge AI deployment.
• 3+ years of AI/ML experience with camera-based vision systems.
• Experience managing full model lifecycle: data collection, labeling, validation, rollout, monitoring, retraining.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deploy computer vision models for defect detection and classification.
• Accelerate training with synthetic data, active learning, and domain randomization.
• Package models with Docker and manage deployments via Kubernetes.
• Implement MLOps practices including version control and observability.
• Optimize edge inference for real-time latency on NVIDIA Jetson/Intel hardware.
• Integrate vision systems with PLCs and industrial networks using OPC-UA, MQTT, REST.
