Job summary

ERock is seeking a Manufacturing Training Coordinator to design and sustain onboarding and qualification programs for production technicians at our Cypress, TX facility. This site-based role partners with Manufacturing leadership to translate technical knowledge into scalable learning experiences.

You will collaborate with the Instructional Designer and Technical Writer to develop content, assessments, job aids, and maintain training records while monitoring program effectiveness across shifts.

Position Summary:

The Manufacturing Training Coordinator is a site-based learning and development role responsible for developing, coordinating, and maintaining training programs that support the onboarding, development, and qualification of production technicians at the assigned manufacturing facility.

The role reports to Manufacturing leadership and works in close functional partnership with the Director of Training to ensure site training programs align with ERock’s enterprise Talent Development governance, standards, systems, and methodologies. The position also works closely with ERock’s Instructional Designer and Technical Writer to support development of training content, documentation, and learning resources.

This role does not require the individual to enter the position as a technical expert in production technician work or facility operations. Success depends on the ability to understand performance requirements, work effectively with qualified subject matter experts, and translate technical and operational information into structured, effective, and scalable training and qualification programs. Technical standards and qualification decisions remain the responsibility of designated subject matter experts and authorized evaluators.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain structured onboarding, training, and qualification programs for production technicians in alignment with Manufacturing needs and ERock Talent Development standards.
• Conduct training needs analyses and support development of competency models, learning paths, curricula, qualification cards, assessments, and related training requirements.
• Partner with Manufacturing leaders, supervisors, technicians, and subject matter experts to identify performance expectations, capture technical knowledge, and define training and qualification needs.
• Work closely with ERock’s Instructional Designer and Technical Writer to develop and maintain training content, job aids, learner and facilitator materials, assessments, procedures, work instructions, and other supporting resources.
• Coordinate the review, validation, approval, implementation, and revision of training materials to ensure content remains accurate, current, practical, and aligned with applicable standards.
• Coordinate production technician onboarding, training assignments, qualification activities, and completion requirements across applicable teams and shifts.
• Maintain accurate training and qualification records, track employee progress, identify gaps or risks, and provide status updates and recommendations to Manufacturing and Talent Development leaders.
• Support the identification and development of qualified site trainers, mentors, and evaluators, including coordination of train-the-trainer activities and consistent use of approved training and qualification methods.
• Evaluate training effectiveness using learner performance, stakeholder feedback, observations, completion data, and operational needs, and recommend improvements as appropriate.
• Monitor changes to production roles, equipment, processes, procedures, and business requirements that may create new or revised training needs while maintaining alignment between Manufacturing priorities and ERock Talent Development governance.
• Other responsibilities as directed by supervisor.

Requirements

Basic (Required) Qualifications:

• Experience in learning and development, training coordination, instructional design, curriculum development, organizational development, or a comparable field.
• Demonstrated ability to develop or coordinate structured onboarding, training, or employee qualification programs.
• Working knowledge of adult learning principles, training needs analysis, learning objectives, assessment methods, and training evaluation.
• Ability to work effectively with subject matter experts and translate technical or operational information into clear, organized, and practical learning solutions.
• Experience developing or coordinating learning paths, curricula, training materials, assessments, job aids, or qualification documentation.
• Strong project management, organization, prioritization, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple training initiatives, reviews, deadlines, and stakeholder groups simultaneously.
• Ability to maintain accurate digital training records and use training information to identify gaps, risks, trends, and follow-up needs.
• Ability to learn unfamiliar manufacturing processes and technical concepts sufficiently to support training development without serving as the technical authority.
• Ability to work independently within a manufacturing environment while maintaining alignment with site leadership and enterprise Talent Development requirements.
• Ability to support training activities across production shifts when business needs require.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in instructional design, education, adult learning, organizational development, human resources, business, or a related field.
• Experience developing or coordinating training within a manufacturing, industrial, technical, or similar operational environment.
• Experience supporting technician onboarding, on-the-job training, competency development, or qualification programs.
• Experience partnering with subject matter experts and learning professionals to develop training content and supporting documentation.
• Familiarity with learning management systems, digital training records, controlled documentation, and training or qualification tracking tools.
