Job summary

ZincFive, headquartered in Tualatin, Oregon, is seeking a Manufacturing Test Technician II to perform electro-mechanical assembly, testing, calibration, and Q.A. duties on-site.

You will work with the manufacturing team under the Manufacturing Manager to ensure high quality and timely production, following lean processes and strict safety guidelines. Requirements include a high school diploma and 1+ year of electro-mechanical integration and testing, plus QA experience.

Qualifications

  • 1+ years of electromechanical integration and testing.
  • Quality inspection, auditing and testing experience.
  • Experience with corrective action programs.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing QA regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble, test, calibrate, and perform basic troubleshooting.
  • Read and interpret drawings, schematics, P&ID, BOM, wiring diagrams and BKM.
  • Support and manage inventory control and workflow management.
  • Assist management in measuring department efficiency, product quality and performance.
  • Perform in-process and final inspections; report issues per guidelines.
  • Test and calibrate parts to meet tolerances for ZincFive products.
  • Maintain station records, cleanliness, and OSHA safety compliance.
  • Coordinate with supervisor on production and shipment priorities.

The Manufacturing Test Technician II is trained and proficient in many areas of the production floor. The position requires assembly, testing, calibration, basic troubleshooting knowledge and rework. The Manufacturing Test Technician II will work in close collaboration with other members of the manufacturing team to ensure a consistently high level of quality and productivity. This position will work onsite at ZincFive headquarters in Tualatin, Oregon and reports to the Manufacturing Manager.

Manufacturing Test Technician II Job Duties:
  • Perform electro-mechanical assemblies using BKM (Best known method) assembly instruction onsite in headquarters located in Tualatin, OR
  • Understand Lean manufacturing process and support implementation
  • Able to read and interpret manufacturing documentation including drawings, schematics, P&ID, BOM (Bill of material), wiring diagram, and BKM
  • Support and manage inventory control and workflow management
  • Assist the manufacturing manager in developing and implementing appropriate systems to measure department efficiencies, product quality, and performance
  • Perform in process inspection as well as final inspection
  • Perform final system Q.A. on individual assembly work – report any problems per established company manufacturing guidelines
  • Test and calibrate parts, mechanisms, and sub-assemblies to meet tolerances and specifications for ZincFive products
  • Responsible for individual station record keeping, cleanliness, and adherence to OSHA and company safety guidelines
  • Take direction from the direct manager/supervisor to execute production and shipment priorities and resource alignment
  • Escalate any manufacturing related issues to direct manager/supervisor and seek a short term and long-term solution to all open action items or issues
  • Monitor production throughput and close out all open production orders based on monthly production plan
  • Work directly with shipping logistics and procurement to monitor material shortage issues and minimize production delays if necessary
  • Perform focus driven execution without interruption and meet compressed schedule deadlines
  • Requires ability to communicate information and ideas so others will understand while exchanging accurate information
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1+ years of electromechanical integration and testing
  • Quality inspection, auditing and testing experience
  • Experience with implementation of corrective action programs
  • Product or industry-specific experience
  • Knowledge of tools, concepts and methodologies of manufacturing QA
  • Knowledge of relevant regulatory requirements
Preferred Experience/Skills:
  • Relevant certifications in Quality Auditor, Quality Improvement Associate, Six Sigma
  • Associate degree in manufacturing, machine technology, electro-mechanical integration
  • Excellent communication skills - verbal and written
  • Good judgment

  • Teamwork
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
  • Work involves sitting, walking, standing, bending, and stooping throughout the workday
  • Able to climb a ladder to perform work
  • Ability to wear required face and body PPE to protect against high voltage
  • Lifting up to 25 pounds
  • Requires close visual acuity and ability to distinguish colors
  • Warehouse and office environments
  • Must be able to maintain a level state of alertness while performing this job
