Job summary

MKS Instruments in Bailey, NY is seeking a Manufacturing Test Technician to partner with Test Engineering to fabricate and support test fixtures, document designs, and troubleshoot NPI builds.

You will collaborate with test, manufacturing, and software teams early in product development, build and test fixtures, support CNC machining and 3D printing, and contribute to pre-release design reviews. Up to 5% travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Electronics Technology or equivalent on the job training required.
• 1+ year of related experience required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Ability to identify and resolve electrical defects.

Responsibilities

• Build, test and troubleshoot production and NPI fixtures.
• Develop documentation to enable fixture duplication internally and at suppliers.
• Support CNC machining and 3D printing for fixture fabrication.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with manufacturing, NPI engineering, and supply chain.
• Participate in pre-release design and process reviews.
• Travel up to 5% of time.
