Job summary

ZT Systems is seeking a Manufacturing Test Technician in Secaucus, NJ, to support production testing, failure analysis, and repairs. You will work with cross-functional teams to ensure quality targets and on-time delivery within the production schedule.

Responsibilities include system testing, setup, script execution, failure analysis, repairs, and process improvement while collaborating with peers and supervisors. Relevant certifications and hands-on hardware experience are valued.

Qualifications

• Associates degree or relevant technical certification required or equivalent work experience.
• CompTIA A+ or Network+ certifications are beneficial but not required.
• Configuration experience with Windows OS, Server, Office and basic Linux expected.
• 2–4 years of PC hardware or networking experience is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• System test and setup in test environment.
• Execute test scripts and verify system readiness.
• Perform system failure analysis and repair per procedures.
• Identify error codes and troubleshoot system issues for corrective actions.
• Escalate issues to peers, team lead, and supervisors as needed.
• Support continuous improvement and 5S initiatives.

About The Role

What You’ll Do

• System Test
• System setup in test
• System updates and verification
• Execution of system test scripts and process
• System Failure Analysis and Repair
• Identification of error codes
• Troubleshooting of system errors for corrective actions
• Execution of system hardware repairs per proper procedures
• Issue Resolution
• Manage/escalate issues impacting systems in test and communicate to Peer technicians, Team Lead and Supervisors
• Continuous Improvement / 5S Support
• Work with extended team to identify and execute process improvements / 5S actions

What You Bring

• Associates degree in IT, or Certification from a Technical School and/or equivalent related work experience
• CompTIA A+ or Network+ certifications are beneficial but not required.
• Configuration experience of Microsoft OS VISTA/WIN7/Server/Office suite and basic Linux
• 2-4 years PC system related hardware or networking experience is beneficial

ZT Systems assesses market data to ensure a competitive compensation package is created for all our employees. The typical base salary for this position is expected to be around $22.50. If hired, the final base salary will be determined on an individual basis taking into consideration experience, skills, knowledge, education and/or certifications.
