Job summary

Lenovo in Whitsett, North Carolina is seeking a hands-on Test Infrastructure Engineer to build and maintain test networks, servers, and automation toolchains for validating hardware. You will work with engineering, quality, IT and logistics to ensure reliable test operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities include documenting root causes, developing SOPs, providing training, and evaluating test equipment such as HiPot testers and racks.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in server hardware testing or manufacturing test support.
  • Proficiency in Linux system administration, network configuration (DHCP, FTP, SSH), and scripting (Python, Bash).
  • Familiarity with manufacturing test platforms like UTP and server validation processes (AVT, Burn-In, FVT).
  • Strong analytical and communication skills with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
