Job summary

Lenovo seeks an engineer to build and manage test networks and servers for automated validation. You will configure switches, PXE boot systems, and racks, while ensuring robust test data and timely issue resolution.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required in Electrical/Computer Engineering or related field.
  • 2+ years in server hardware testing or manufacturing test support.
  • Proficiency in Linux, networking, and scripting (Python, Bash).

Responsibilities

  • Build and configure test network environments including switches, PXE boot systems, and rack cabling.
  • Set up and maintain test servers (L1/L2) used in automated and manual validation processes.
  • Document and escalate issues with root cause analysis and resolution tracking.
  • Identify, evaluate, and procure test-related equipment including HiPot testers, racks, and diagnostic tools.
  • Maintain inventory and calibrate test equipment across production lines.
  • Collaborate with engineering, quality, IT, and logistics teams for test operations.
  • Participate in design reviews and provide feedback on testability and infrastructure needs.
  • Provide technical training on test setup, equipment usage, and safety protocols.
  • Develop and maintain SOPs and troubleshooting guides for test infrastructure.
