Job summary

Jabil is seeking a Senior Test Engineering Leader to drive the strategy and execution of test solutions across sites. You will lead Test Engineers and Test Managers, aligning roadmap with customer requirements and site priorities.

You will champion manufacturing test excellence, optimize KPIs for quality, yield, and cost, and collaborate with Operations, Quality, and Product Engineering to deliver robust test capabilities for new product introductions.

• 8+ years developing or managing hardware, manufacturing, production, electrical, or systems test solutions.

JOB SUMMARY

Provide optimum test solutions and strategies through the effective management of people, systems, procedures and equipment. Drive innovation and continuous improvement within Test Engineering-LFF (Large Factor Form) by harnessing new technologies in the areas of systems, equipment, and processes. Provide exceptional support to customers, team members, and shareholders.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Leadership & Team Development

Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing Test Engineering organization, including Test Engineers and Test Managers. Partner with Talent Acquisition to define hiring requirements and build a strong engineering talent pipeline. Establish clear performance objectives, provide ongoing coaching and feedback, and support employee growth and career development. Develop succession plans and organizational capabilities to support current and future business needs. Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Test Engineering Strategy & Technical Leadership

Define and execute the test engineering roadmap in alignment with business objectives, customer requirements, and site strategic priorities. Develop and implement manufacturing test strategies that ensure product quality, reliability, and operational efficiency. Evaluate customer test requirements and recommend scalable, cost-effective test solutions. Lead the development, deployment, and support of specialized test equipment, automation systems, and test software. Drive technology innovation through the evaluation and adoption of new test methodologies, tools, and processes.

Operational Excellence

Establish, monitor, and improve key performance indicators (KPIs) related to quality, yield, throughput, equipment utilization, and cost. Drive continuous improvement initiatives through data analysis, trend reporting, and root-cause problem solving. Identify opportunities to reduce costs, eliminate non-value-added activities, and improve operational efficiency. Ensure procedures, work instructions, and test processes are standardized, effective, and compliant with quality requirements. Manage departmental budgets, forecasts, and capital expenditures related to test equipment and infrastructure.

Customer & Cross-Functional Collaboration

Partner closely with Operations, Quality, Manufacturing Engineering, Product Engineering, and customers to deliver robust test solutions. Communicate project status, strategy execution, and performance results to internal and external stakeholders. Support new product introductions (NPI), product launches, and cross-site engineering initiatives. Share best practices across Jabil facilities to promote global standardization and operational excellence.

Compliance & Safety

Ensure compliance with all company policies, quality standards, customer requirements, and health and safety regulations. Promote a safe and quality-focused work environment across all test engineering activities.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS

• Strong communication skills both verbal and written.
• Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.
• Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.
• Advanced PC skills required.
• Proficiency in use of personal computers, Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word and PowerPoint) and e-mail skills required.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor's degree in electrical or manufacturing engineering or other similar related discipline required.
• 8+ years of experience developing or managing hardware, manufacturing, production, electrical, or systems test solutions.
• Experience with Manufacturing Test, Functional Test, Automated Test Equipment (ATE), ESS (Energy Storage Systems, Battery Systems, and Hardware Validation.
• Minimum of 5 years management experience strongly preferred or a combination of education, experience and/or training.
• Must be willing to travel up to 20%
