Job summary

EControls in the United States (Texas) seeks a Manufacturing Test Engineer to develop, integrate, and maintain production test equipment, hardware, and software for high-volume manufacturing of electro‑mechanical products. You will work across departments to ensure production readiness and drive improvements through data analysis and root-cause investigation.

Collaborate with Production, Engineering, R&D, Quality, and Supply Chain to resolve issues, optimize systems, and support safety

Qualifications

• B.S. in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years in a medium-volume manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency with LabVIEW, TestStand, and C/C++.
• Experience with digital and analog circuits; must design circuits for test interfaces.
• Experience with leak decay testing and fuel system components.

Responsibilities

• Works with Product Engineering to understand component testing requirements.
• Designs automated manufacturing test equipment for new product launches.
• Troubleshoots existing manufacturing equipment for current lines.
• Implements design changes to improve quality, yield, and throughput.
• Designs circuits for test equipment using Altium Designer.

Description

The Manufacturing Test Engineer develops, integrates, and maintains production test equipment, hardware, and software to ensure reliable validation of electro‑mechanical and electrical products in a high‑volume manufacturing environment. This role supports new and existing products by collaborating with Production, Engineering, R&D, Quality, and Supply Chain to resolve issues, improve processes, and ensure production readiness of test systems. The engineer also drives continuous improvement through data analysis, root cause investigation, system optimization, and support of quality and safety initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Works closely with Product Engineering to understand component production testing requirements
• Designs automated manufacturing test equipment to support new product launches (Products consist of electronic, electromechanical, or mechanical fuel system components)
• Troubleshoots existing manufacturing equipment to support current product production lines
• Make design changes to existing manufacturing test equipment to improve quality, yield, and throughput
• Design digital and analog circuits for use in electrical test equipment using Altium Designer.

Requirements

• B.S. in Electrical/B.S. Mechanical/other Engineering field
• Minimum 5 years in a medium‑volume manufacturing environment
• Proficient with National Instruments LabView, TestStand, and C/C++
• Experience with digital and analog circuits; must be able to design circuits in test system to interface with product under test
• Experience with leak decay testing
• Solid understanding of mechanical and electro‑mechanical fuel system components such as pressure regulators, carburetors, throttles, etc.
