Job summary

Qnity is seeking a Manufacturing Technology Engineer to design and scale manufacturing processes, develop technical solutions, and support safe, reliable production in a lab-scale environment. You will lead process improvements and collaborate with vendors and cross-functional teams to meet quality and regulatory standards.

The role requires a mechanical/chemical/materials engineering background, 2–5 years of manufacturing experience, and strong problem-solving and data-analysis skills.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Materials or related field.
  • 2–5 years of engineering experience in manufacturing operations or industrial systems.
  • Experience troubleshooting manufacturing processes, equipment, or operational issues.
  • Strong data analysis and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration across functions.

Responsibilities

  • Lead development and execution of manufacturing processes in a lab-scale environment.
  • Evaluate alternative solutions considering immediate and long-term business impact.
  • Ensure safety, environmental, quality and regulatory compliance.
  • Develop data packages and justify capital improvement projects with vendors.
  • Identify and implement best-in-class processes and technologies with technical experts.
  • Lead process improvements to enhance yield, uptime, capacity, and safety.
  • Drive root cause analysis of complex manufacturing and equipment issues.
  • Plan commissioning, start-up and shutdown activities for projects.
  • Lead qualification efforts for new and upgraded equipment.
  • Provide technical support to operations as needed.
