Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Manufacturing Technician (Level 3) for our Promontory, UT site. This role is 100% onsite and involves operating automated equipment, interpreting plans, and performing repairs with a focus on quality in the missile defense domain.

Ideal candidates hold a high school diploma with several years of related experience and can obtain DoD Secret clearance. The position offers a robust Total Rewards package including health and savings plans, and paid time off.

Qualifications

• Ability to obtain and maintain DoD Secret clearance.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks (standing, lifting up to 50 lbs).

Responsibilities

• Interpret and follow established planning or procedures.
• Set up and operate automated equipment (PLC or manual).
• Understand machine fault codes and related mechanical/electrical relationships.
• Perform operator-controlled repairs as required.
• Work with adhesives and adjoining systems.
• Complete any required certifications for core tasks.
• Be willing to work weekends/holidays and overtime.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job responsibilities

• Able to interpret and follow established planning or procedures.
• Sets up and operates automated equipment - PLC or manual controlled.
• Must understand machine fault codes and related mechanical/electrical relationship as it relates to the operation of the machine.
• Makes operator-controlled repairs as required.
• Works with several types of adhesives and adjoining systems.
• Must pass all job-specific or specialized certification programs required for core tasks or specialized assignments.
• Must be willing to perform work on weekends and holidays as required.
• Must be willing to work overtime as required.
• Other duties as assigned

Basic Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent and 4 years additional education and/or related experience.
• Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance
• Able to work a physically demanding day (stand for long periods; work from your knees; ascend and descend ladders; lift, bend, twist push and pull up to 50 lbs.).
• Able to read, comprehend and follow established written instructions without deviation.
• Perform basic math and measurement functions.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen

Preferred Qualifications

• Operating industrial equipment such as cranes, forklifts, precision measuring instruments and hand tools.
• Experience performing sanding and finishing on customer products.
• Makes operator-controlled repairs as required.
• Attention to detail.
• Can work independently or in a team environment.

Primary Level Salary Range: $25.34 - $42.26

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
