Texas Instruments is seeking Manufacturing Technician Interns to troubleshoot and perform preventive maintenance on semiconductor manufacturing equipment. You will use diagnostic tools and vendor documents to identify and fix malfunctions, with exposure to vacuum, RF, AC/DC, and digital electronics theory.

The role requires enrollment in an AS/Technical Certificate program and flexibility to work day or night shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

  • Must have a High School diploma or GED.
  • Currently enrolled in a Technical Certificate or Associates program in Electrical/Electronic Technology, Mechatronics, Manufacturing Technology, Automated Manufacturing, Industrial Automation, Robotics, Industrial Systems and Controls, Electromechanical Technology, or related electronics field.
  • Flexible to work day or night shift that will include one weekend shift and holidays.
  • Ability to work in teams and collaborate effectively with people in different functions.
  • Good listener and excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and perform preventive maintenance of semiconductor manufacturing equipment using diagnostic equipment and vendor documents to isolate and repair malfunctions.
  • Support assembly/disassembly/reassembly of complex mechanical components as needed.

Texas Instruments is seeking Manufacturing Technician Interns who will be responsible for performing troubleshooting and preventive maintenance of semiconductor manufacturing equipment. In this role you will utilize diagnostic equipment and various vendor documents to isolate and repair malfunctions.

The ideal candidate will be enrolled in an AS degree program in Electrical Engineering Technology with a thorough understanding of vacuum, RF, AC/DC and digital electronic theory, and the ability to assemble, disassemble and reassemble complex mechanical assemblies, are desired. Work may involve repetitive motion and some heavy lifting (up to 75 lbs).

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • High School diploma/GED
  • 18 years of age or older
  • Currently enrolled in a Technical Certificate or Associates program in Electrical/Electronic Technology, Mechatronics, Manufacturing Technology, Automated Manufacturing, Industrial Automation, Robotics, Industrial Systems and Controls, Electromechanical Technology, or related electronics field
  • Flexible to work day or night shift that will include one weekend shift and holidays
