Eaton’s IS AER MSD is currently seeking a Manufacturing Technician III at our Orchard Park, NY facility.

Manufacturing technicians are responsible for performing assembly and test processes on aerospace hardware, developing hardware, creating functional test setups, working with high pressure gases, and collaborating with engineering to deliver quality aerospace components and systems.

Core hours for this position are 6:00AM-3:00PM.

The hourly rate is $28.32 per hour. Salaries are based on skills, experience, qualifications, market, and business considerations.

What You’ll Do
  • Communicate and coordinate with the Production Supervisor regarding production needs to ensure on-time delivery.
  • Perform assembly and testing of hardware following instructions and procedures.
  • Use pneumatic and thermal test equipment to evaluate aerospace systems.
  • Set up tests with pressure gauges, flowmeters, relief valves, and transducers per diagrams and specifications.
  • Handle complex mechanical and electrical assemblies, ensuring aerospace cleanliness standards.
  • Interpret blueprints and schematics accurately.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and testing equipment issues.
  • Work independently on complex projects, involving engineering support when needed.
  • Verify calibration, expiration dates, and documentation before use.
  • Manage component traceability for assembly accuracy.
  • Partner with Engineering to identify improvements to reduce lead time, costs, waste, and enhance safety.
  • Obtain and maintain Certified Operator Status.
  • Ensure compliance with Environmental, Health, and Safety standards.
  • Assist in training and mentoring lower-level technicians.
