Job Description

Purpose: Perform functions associated with cGMP manufacturing operations within the biologics production facility, including working with engineers on set-up and calibration, rework, and quality testing related to production. Use sophisticated programs (LIMS, SAP, automated control systems) to collect and evaluate data for on-line adjustments. Develop methods and procedures to control or modify the manufacturing process.

• Running glass washer/autoclave
• Buffer/media preparation
• Equipment preparation (CIP/SIP)
• Cell culture (from vial thaw to production scale)
• Column chromatography
• Tangential flow filtration

Qualifications

• Associates degree in science (or equivalent experience), with 4+ years relevant experience; Bachelor's degree with 2+ years relevant experience
• Substantial understanding of the job, applying knowledge to complete tasks
• Works on moderately difficult assignments, requiring judgment
• Little instruction on daily work, general instructions on new assignments
• May be an informal team leader
