Manufacturing Technician II, Device Assembly (Nights)

Shift: 12hr (6pm-6am) 2-2-3 schedule (2 on, 2 off, every other weekend).

Position Summary

This position involves working in various Controlled/Non-Classified areas. The Packaging Technician performs manufacturing tasks such as operating equipment, monitoring processes, performing line clearances, cosmetic inspections, cleaning, and documenting batch records. Supports process improvements (5S, problem-solving, Kaizen events, manual data collection) to ensure product quality and consistency in accordance with cGMPs.

Responsibilities
  • Operate machinery, including servicing, monitoring, reintroducing materials, palletizing, and ensuring smooth product flow.
  • Start-up machinery, perform setup, select recipes, enter data into systems (SCADA, HMI), make minor adjustments, and perform sensor checks.
  • Manual packaging, rework of in-process and finished materials.
  • Operate light material handling equipment safely.
  • Conduct visual quality inspections and sampling; escalate concerns promptly.
  • Perform minor troubleshooting, clear jams, identify equipment issues, and collaborate with technical resources.
  • Manage inventory control and reconciliation, possibly using SAP and WES.
  • Maintain cleanliness and GMP compliance through cleaning, sanitizing, and line clearance activities.
  • Document batch records and perform mathematical calculations as needed.
  • Follow safety procedures, report discrepancies, and support lean activities and process improvements.
  • Act as a certified OJT trainer, conduct evaluations, and review process documents for accuracy.
  • Support equipment qualification and validation protocols.
  • Flexibly support other manufacturing areas as needed.
  • Maintain certifications and develop new skills to contribute effectively to the team.
  • Work effectively in a team, adapt to changing environments, and support business needs, including overtime when required.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Experience in a pharmaceutical or cGMP regulated environment.
  • Ability to read, write, communicate, and follow instructions in English.
  • Strong attention to detail, accurate record-keeping, and mathematical skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • High school diploma, vocational training, or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office and SAP.
  • Prior production experience.
  • Experience in LEAN manufacturing.
  • Understanding of cGMPs and FDA policies.
