Eaton’s IS AER MSD is currently seeking a Manufacturing Technician II - 2nd Shift, for our Actuation and IR Cooling product lines. This position is based at our Orchard Park, NY facility.

Manufacturing technicians are responsible for performing assembly and test processes on aerospace hardware, developing hardware, creating functional test setups, working with high-pressure gases, and collaborating with engineering to deliver quality aerospace components and systems.

Core hours: 3PM-11:30PM

The hourly rate for this position is $24.09 + shift differential of $1.00 per hour, plus an additional shift differential of $1.00.

What You’ll Do
  1. Perform manufacturing processes on assemblies following standard processes and instructions.
  2. Document test results on data sheets or in electronic data collection systems.
  3. Perform troubleshooting on production hardware and test equipment.
  4. Verify calibrated equipment and materials, ensuring instructions are current and accurate.
  5. Manage traceability of components to ensure assembly accuracy.
  6. Collaborate with team members and engineering to identify improvements to reduce lead time, costs, waste, or enhance safety.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or G.E.D. from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of 2 years aerospace manufacturing or military experience, or 3 years relevant manufacturing experience.
  • Must be authorized to work in the US without sponsorship.
  • Must be a U.S. person per ITAR regulations.
  • Reside within 50 miles of Orchard Park, NY (active duty military exempt).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Associates Degree in Mechanical/Electrical Technology.
  • Experience in Space Systems manufacturing, electronics assembly, and inspection (certified in J-STD-001 and/or IPC-A-610).
Skills
  • Understanding of Lean, Six Sigma, Cellular Manufacturing, and Continuous Improvement.
  • Knowledge of electrical equipment and testing tools.
  • Ability to work independently and follow company policies.
  • Ability to perform product testing with high-pressure equipment.
  • Maintain Certified Operator Status and ensure safety and environmental compliance.
