Job description

*Job Title: *Manufacturing Technician 2

*Job Type: *12-month CTH

*Location: *Arden Hills, MN

*Hours: *2nd Shift (1:30 PM – 9:30 PM), on call 1-2 Saturdays a month.

*Pay Rate: *$30 hourly

*Overview*

We are seeking a Manufacturing Technician 2 to join our team in Arden Hills. This 2nd shift role (1:30 PM – 9:30 PM) supports spring contact operations and plays a critical part in performing and improving manufacturing processes, equipment calibration, and preventive maintenance. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, mechanically inclined, and eager to learn new skills in a regulated manufacturing environment.

*Key Responsibilities*
* Comply with all safety rules and regulations at all times.
* Troubleshoot process, material, or equipment issues to reduce downtime.
* Implement corrective actions for manufacturing-related issues.
* Perform scheduled and preventive maintenance, including calibration.
* Conduct equipment maintenance and coordinate with outside contractors as needed.
* Install and validate production equipment and processes to improve yield and reduce cycle time.
* Analyze operating data and make real-time adjustments; develop or revise related documentation.
* Evaluate and procure necessary tools, equipment, and fixtures.
* Train and provide technical guidance to other technicians and product builders.
* Modify or develop tooling and fixtures.
* Collaborate with engineers and technicians on continuous process improvements.
* Perform additional duties as required.

*Preferred Qualifications*
* Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degree with 1+ year of experience, or equivalent education/work background
* Knowledge of medical device documentation and regulatory requirements
* Hands-on experience with laser systems and spring winders
* Proven success in working with manufacturing and process development engineers
* Ability to read electrical schematics and part drawings
* Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
* Experience with preventive maintenance and software debugging
* Positive attitude and eagerness to learn new technical skills

*Additional Information*
* Initial training will occur on 1st shift for approximately 2 months, then transition to full-time 2nd shift.
* Once on 2nd shift, this technician will be the sole support, requiring strong problem-solving and independent decision-making skills.
* Candidate must be available to be on call 1–2 Saturdays per month for overtime production support.
