Overview

There is an immediate opening for a Maintenance Technician I - 2nd shift. Location: Lititz, PA. Pay rates start at $27.00/hr plus $2.00/hr for shift differential. Starting rate will be based on experience.

Shift: Monday - Friday 3:00pm - 11:00pm

Responsibilities

• Assure equipment availability and readiness to meet the production schedule requirements and throughput rates established for the work centers.
• Maintain uptime on all production equipment to meet throughput rates on a consistent and reliable basis.
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical machine problems quickly, perform effective troubleshooting of equipment, tools and processes to maintain production of machinery. Seek additional technical support as required.
• Operate as the machine expert: run, operate, and pass operator certification for the assigned work center.
• Follow all lockout/tagout policies and procedures at all times when working on equipment and machinery.
• Operate forklift and high lift equipment; certified and demonstrate safe operation at all times.
• Complete set ups in a timely and accurate manner in accordance with scheduled production requirements.
• Assist Manufacturing Engineers in improving equipment and processes; participate in ideas that reduce downtime and improve productivity.
• Ensure spare parts are stocked and available for immediate use; work with Inventory Specialist to identify part numbers.
• Provide quality instruction, education and support to other Manufacturing Technicians and production operators.
• Demonstrate safety awareness and execute safety policies and procedures to maintain a safe and orderly work environment.
• Assist in operations as needed to meet Woodstream’s production requirements.
• Regular attendance and punctuality required.

Qualifications

• HSD / GED required or proven on-the-job technical experience.
• 3-5 years of combined work experience in maintenance or a high-volume manufacturing environment.
• Certification in hydraulic, electrical, or pneumatics is ideal.
• Experience repairing conveyors, motors, pneumatics, case erectors, welders, pumps, and related production equipment.
• Basic math skills and ability to use basic measurement tools.
• Hands-on experience with basic machining tools and electrical troubleshooting.
• Set-up, troubleshooting, repair and maintenance in a machine-based manufacturing environment.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with problem-solving skills to increase throughput, quality and safety.
• Ability to continually learn and develop new skills; methodical troubleshooting and effective communication.
• Proficiency in reading and writing English; ability to pass the T1 qualification test in English.
